Cincinnati Reds vs San Francisco Giants Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Cincinnati Reds (10-7) and the San Francisco Giants (6-11) have each had their struggles lately. The Giants have lost 7 of their last 10 games, including their current 3-game losing streak. The Reds have lost 4 of their last 6 games.

In game one of their series on Tuesday night, it was a low-scoring affair that the Reds were able to come out victorious in. Brady Singer went 6 innings and allowed a single run, while the Reds' bullpen combined for 3 innings of clean work. Robbie Ray of the Giants was solid as well. He allowed just 2 runs in 5 innings, and his bullpen kept them close with clean work of their own.

Tyler Mahle will start for the Giants here in game two. He is 0-2 on the season, but coming off his best start of the year against the Phillies. In that game, he held Philadelphia scoreless in his 5.2 innings of work. He will be opposed by Rhett Lowder of the Reds. Lowder has a solid 3.31 ERA, and while he does not pick up a ton of strikeouts, he finds his way to get himself out of trouble.

Scoring runs in this one may be as difficult a task as it was in game one. Two decent arms throwing for each squad and lineups that could not figure things out last night could be a recipe for another low-scoring tilt.
