Chicago Cubs (33-31) and San Francisco Giants (26-38) will meet for the second time in this three-game series on Saturday evening at Wrigley Field. The Cubs suffered a major setback in Game 1 after losing 18-3 in a rain-delayed game. They held their own quite well until the fourth inning, when they were just 2-0 down. However, they collapsed and allowed the Giants to race to a 16-0 lead in the sixth, giving them zero chances of mounting a comeback. The Cubs will be keen to prove a point tonight.
San Francisco Giants, meanwhile, got a huge emotional boost after the blowout win on Friday. They bombarded the hosts with a whopping seven home runs, with Malt Chapman belting a grand slam. He also piled up a career-high of 8 RBI to help the Giants rout Chicago. Interestingly, this is the second straight game that the Giants have scored 12+ runs after defeating the Brewers 12-9 on Thursday.
