The late game on Saturday for the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs will feature 2 teams from the NFC West that know each other very well. The Seattle Seahawks (14-3) are the #1 seed in the NFC and will host the #6-seeded San Francisco 49ers (12-5). These teams met twice already this season. Oddly enough, it was the 1st and last game of the season. Both rod teams were victorious in those games.
The 49ers took the season opener 17-13, while the Seahawks won the revenge game 13-3. The 49ers are coming off a road victory in the 1st round of the playoffs over the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. DeMarcus Robinson caught 6 balls for 111 yards and a touchdown, while Christian McCaffery put up 114 total yards and caught 2 touchdown passes. They did lose George Kittle to a torn Achilles, but this team has played without him during the season, and Jake Tonges has done well in the fill-in role. Purdy had some questionable decisions in the game that led to 2 interceptions. He will need to be more careful in this one against a strong Seattle defense.
Seattle is coming off the lone NFC bye and will know exactly what they need to do to advance to the NFC Championship game. In their previous meeting with the 49ers, they dominated the ground game on both sides of the ball. They held SF to just 53 rushing yards while Seattle went for 180 on the ground. The game plan will be simple for Seattle. Mike Macdonald will rely on his defense to load the box and force Purdy to pass against exotic looks in the secondary. On offense, he will lean on Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet to bully their way down the field on the ground once again.
San Francisco is coming off a big win in the first round, but Seattle’s players will be fresh with an added week off. Whichever team can control the line of scrimmage will likely win this game.

Our Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers Prediction
The favorite won and covered in both matchups during the regular season. We believe that will continue here in Seattle. The Seahawks are the largest favorites of the weekend and are being the least bet team on the slate. We believe the loss of Kittle will loom large in a game where Purdy will have his weapons limited due to the tough defense of Seattle.
Our prediction for Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers: Seattle -7
