The best team in baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers (57-31), will host an in-state rival in the San Diego Padres (43-43) for game two of a four-game series tonight.

The Dodgers took game one of the series last night. They trailed 6-0 after the top of the 2nd inning, but that did not deter this explosive offense. The Dodgers rallied immediately and posted runs in the next 5 consecutive innings to erase the deficit and take a 11-6 lead that they were able to hold onto late in the game. Kyle Tucker and Dalton Rushing each went 4-4 in the game and combined for 5 RBIs and 6 runs scored.

For the Padres, they will have a tough time bouncing back from this loss. They were able to get to Roki Sasaki early and used 3 home runs from Machado, Merrill, and Croneworth to gain that early 6-0 lead, but Randy Vasquez hurt his ankle and then fainted after allowing 4 runs in 3 innings to let the Dodgers back in the game. Wandy Peralta came in and gave up 4 more runs in just 1 inning, and that allowed the Dodgers to take control of the game. Michael King will be tasked with trying to keep this Dodger offense under wraps tonight.
