Chicago Cubs (48-38) and San Diego Padres (43-41) will wrap up their three-game series on Wednesday evening at Wrigley Field. The Cubs will be getting their brooms out for a clean sweep after edging out the Padres in their first two assignments. They followed up their 3-2 opening-day victory with a 9-7 win on Tuesday night. Dansby Swanson hit two of the Cubs’ five home runs. Even better, this was their fourth straight win, extending their 10-game record to 8-2.

San Diego Padres, on the other side of the grass, will be keen to avoid another defeat after coming up short in their first two assignments. They’ve managed to impress offensively so far, scoring 9 runs, although their 12 opponent runs have proved costly. In their latest assignment, they nearly caused an upset, although it was too late, having allowed a huge deficit early in the game. They’re the +100 betting underdogs today.
