Two of the most lucrative teams to bet on face off in the last two games of the regular season, the Diamondbacks and Padres in the Arizona desert.
The current National League champion sees its season hanging by a thread, and the definition of the National League wild cards is exciting, at this moment the Braves, Mets and Diamondbacks are tied at 3 and only two will get tickets to the postseason.
The Padres have the best chance to eliminate their rivals, and they started in the best way by winning the first game of the series as a non-favorite, since the D-backs were with odds of -130.
For the second game, again the betting sites will insist on setting the Diamondbacks as favorites, with odds of up to -185. Lovullo will rely on the veteran Venezuelan pitcher Rodriguez for this key game. Rodriguez has not been sharp this month as he has an ERA of 6.00 and a record of 1-4. In his last game he had started off pretty solid against the Giants at Chae Field, but finally in the third inning he could no longer keep a scoreless streak and would end up allowing about 3 HRs that night.
