Thrre's Friday night soccer in the US this week, with several Major League Soccer fixtures taking place, including one at Snapdragon Stadium, where San Diego and Nashville will lock horns. This is a game between two teams that have been in flying form this season. Despite being new to MLS, the San Diego boys have been on fire, winning with serious regularity, often scoring for fun, so much so that they enter this game as the top-ranked team in the Western Conference, leading the way by a single point from the Vancouver Whitecaps, who are in pursuit of Mikey Vargas' men. However, Friday's hosts have gone a little off the boil of late, winning neither of their last two. They'll be looking to bounce back here.
For the men from Music City, the 2025 season has also gone swimmingly. Under the astute coaching of B.J. Callaghan, the visitors have climbed the Eastern Conference standings, reaching their current spot of second.
