The Las Vegas Aces visit the Indiana Fever for Game 3 of their best-of-five semifinals series on Thursday, September 25, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The series, which is tied 1-1, goes to a pivotal Game 3. After Kelsey Mitchell lifted Indiana to a Game 1 win, Las Vegas answered with a convincing 90-68 victory in Game 2.
The Aces got off to a quick nine-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back. By the end of the third period, their advantage ballooned to 18 points.
Recently minted league MVP A'ja Wilson led all scorers with 25 points, while also adding nine rebounds and five steals to her tally. Four other Aces scored in double digits, including NaLyssa Smith's 18 markers.
Moreover, the Aces flexed their defense all game long. They held the Fever to under 18 points in each quarter, forcing them to commit 18 turnovers. Mitchell, who exploded for 34 in the first game, was held to 28.6% shooting, including 1-6 from the three-point line.
Damiris Dantas, Caitlin Clark, and Sophie Cunningham will not suit up for the Fever in Game 3. On the other end, the Aces don't have any names on their injury report.
