The key to this game is how well the Pelicans respond to not having Zion Williamson on the floor. The Pelicans have won without Williamson against Sacramento this year, but it required shooting 61% from the field. New Orleans usually shoots the ball well, but that’s also with Williamson on the court.
Without Williamson, the Pelicans will likely shift more of the offense to C.J. McCollum and Brandon Ingram. Both are strong scorers, but neither shoots anywhere near the 57% that Williamson shoots. The lack of Williamson also means Sacramento can adjust its defense accordingly and force McCollum to work for his shots.
