River Plate versus Club Libertad is the second leg of the Round of 16 in the 2025 CONMEBOL Libertadores on Thursday night. River Plate will come into this matchup with an upper hand after securing a precious goalless draw on the road in the first leg. The 2018 champions qualified for the knockout rounds as Group B leaders and are yet to taste defeat in this competition. They are certainly one of the top contenders to lift the trophy this year.
Club Libertad, on the other hand, qualified for the knockout stage as runners-up to São Paulo in Group D. The Paraguayans lost only once in their group assignments, although three of their assignments ended in draws.
