One of the two Carabao Cup semi-final fixtures is a London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal. The first leg will be played at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. The Blues' new coach made his debut last weekend in the FA Cup round of 32. He had little trouble leading his team to victory on Charlton's home turf (1-5). Now, Chelsea can turn its attention to the Carabao Cup semifinal first leg.
Arsenal are shining in all competitions this season.
For Arsenal, everything has been going well since the start of the season. The Gunners are at the top of the Premier League, six points ahead of their closest rivals. They are also leading the Champions League group stage, with six wins in six games.
To top it all off, Mikel Arteta's men have qualified for the FA Cup round of 16 and the Carabao Cup semi-finals. They will have the chance to play the first leg of the semi-final away from home. Having not lost in their previous nine games in all competitions, they will be looking to continue their run on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea will be without several players for this Carabao Cup semi-final first leg. They will have to do without Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia, and Mykhaylo Mudryk. For his debut with his new team, Liam Rosenior has already been able to rely on a very solid midfield with Moisés Caicedo and Andrey Santos, his former player at RC Strasbourg.
Enzo Fernandez came on as a substitute and had time to score one goal and provide one assist. The Blues can also count on a high-quality attacking line-up. With Estêvão, Pedro Neto and João Pedro, Chelsea can hope to cause problems for their rivals' excellent defense.
Both London clubs can rely on strong attacking line-ups.
For Arsenal, Cristhian Mosquera and Riccardo Calafiori are injured, while Piero Hincapié is doubtful. Mikel Arteta still has what it takes to emerge victorious from this first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals. He has one of the best defenses in Europe, with William Saliba and Gabriel in central defense.
In midfield, he also has plenty of talent at his disposal, including Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, and Martin Zubimendi. The same goes for his attacking line! Bukayo Saka can make his mark at any moment, as can Gabriel Jesus, who has been on good form in recent weeks.
