One of the biggest fixtures in world football takes place at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday afternoon, as La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona clash in the first El Clásico of the season.
Barcelona have held the upper hand in recent contests against Madrid. Hansi Flick's side have won the last five El Clásico, including a sensational 4-3 victory in May that effectively secure the La Liga title for Barca.
The overall head-to-head between the two teams also favors Barc, with May's victory meaning that they currently hold a 129-111 lead over Real.
However, Real are currently leading the way in the La Liga standings, thanks to a sensational start to the campaign that has seen them win eight of their opening nine league fixtures. That excellent form has given them a two point advantage over Barca, as they look to regain the La Liga title from their bitter rivals.

Real Madrid - Barcelona: Form Analysis
Madrid's 1-0 victory over Juventus on Wednesday night means that Xabi Alonso's men have won 11 of their 12 fixtures in all competitions this season. Remarkably, French striker Kylian Mbappe has scored 15 goals in those 12 games, including 10 in his nine La Liga appearances.
At the other end of the pitch, Thibaut Courtois has been in fine form between the sticks, whilst the likes of Raul Ascensio and Eder Militao are enjoying fine seasons in defence.

Real boss Xabi Alonso will be buoyed by the news that Dean Huijsen and Dani Ceballos are both expected to be fit for Sunday's game, after missing recent fixtures with minor injuries. However, Antonio Rudiger, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dani Carvajal are still out with long term injuries, so Alonso will have to once again field a below full-strength backline.
Long injury list for Barca
Barca keeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen remains on the sidelines with a back injury, so Polish veteran Wojciech Szczęsny will continue in goal. Forwards Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo will also miss the game, but Hansi Flick is confident that centre back Andreas Christensen and midfielder Frenkie de Jong will be fit enough for at least a place on the Barca bench. Unfortunately, Sunday's game comes too soon for key winger Raphinha, who is still recovering from a minor hamstring strain.

We seriously cannot wait for this game. Both Real and Barca have started the season in spectacular form, so we are expecting Sunday's game to be an absolute barnburner.
As for picking a winner...we cannot separate the two teams. Real clearly have the trump card in Kylian Mbappe, but Barca's team is choc full of world class talent and we cannot back against them.
Because of those factors, we are going to sit on the fence and predict a score draw, with Mbappe finding the net for Real.
