Zheng Qinwen of China will try to ride her momentum as she sets her sight on advancing to her first grass-court final against Emma Navarro of the United States in Saturday’s semifinal showdown at the 2025 HSBC Championships.
After gutting out a tough win over McCartney Kessler in the second round, Zheng busted out arguably her best performance on grass as she decimated crowd favorite Emma Raducanu 6-2 6-4 in their quarterfinal duel on Friday. The Chinese broke a 2-2 tie with a hold and then broke Raducanu's consecutive times to bag the first set. Raducanu stormed to a 3-0 lead in the second set, but Zheng showed great composure, breaking three more times in the second set to win 6 of the last 7 games of the match.
Anisimova came out on top of the All-American quarterfinal battle with Emma Navarro 6-3 6-3 to reach the semifinal at Queen’s Tennis Club. Anisimova surrendered only one breakpoint the entire match while winning 23 points off her first serves. She also broke Navarro four times, powered by 19 return points.

Our Qinwen Zheng vs Amanda Anisimova Prediction
Why should you bet on Zheng Qinwen to win? (Win $100 on a $100 Bet) – I am starting to think that Zheng is finally getting the hang of it with regards to playing on grass. Yes, Zheng’s 5-8 record on grass is underwhelming for a player of her caliber, but her last two matches saw the Chinese thriving in a bouncy court condition. I am aware Anisimova is riding momentum too after scoring a win over a top-10 player in Emma Navarro, yet I have a strong feeling that there’s still more to come from Zheng in this grass-court run that is starting to unravel her potential on this particular surface.
