Following the end of the international break, Ligue 1 returns with Matchday 28. The action kicks off this Friday with a showdown between Paris Saint-Germain and Toulouse FC at the Parc des Princes. Sitting atop the French league table, one point ahead of RC Lens (2nd) but with one game in hand, the Parisian club appears poised for a strong finish. Just before turning their attention to the Champions League quarterfinals against Liverpool, Luis Enrique’s team intends to keep the momentum going.

For its part, Toulouse FC has settled into the upper half of the Ligue 1 table, in 9th place. It has, however, won its last two league matches. Téfécé, however, is far from the race for European qualification and has little left to play for in this final stretch of Ligue 1. The Coupe de France should be the main objective for Carles Martínez Novell’s men as the season winds down. They have qualified for the semifinals and will face RC Lens in a few weeks.
