Early on Saturday afternoon, there's an exciting fixture due to take place at the FIFA Club World Cup, a game that puts two European heavyweights up against each other. It is of course PSG vs Bayern, which will get underway at Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. As the UEFA Champions League winners, the Parisians will be hoping to come out on top, but Bayern are no easy team to beat, so we really shouldn't be massively surprised if the Germans put up a serious fight. Let's be real, it wouldn't be a surprise if PSG lost this game, such is the strength of their opponents on a good day.
The UCL winners were never likely to struggle against Inter Miami during the first knockout round, and struggle they did not, brushing aside the Major League Soccer team to win by four goals to zero. That was a commanding performance, one that should leave Luis Enrique's men feeling confident ahead of this clash. It was a little tougher for Bayern during the previous round, at least at the back, but they too enjoyed themselves, also scoring four goals, getting the job done against Brazilian side Fluminense.

Both teams bring strong form into this game, there can be no denying that. Both teams won with something to spare during the last round, with both scoring four goals, while it's probably fair to say that there's been a distinct impression that both teams have extra gears to find. Sure, we saw PSG lose to Botafogo, but were they really bothered about that game? Probably not. When it mattered most last time out, Enrique's men stepped on the gas, so make no mistake about it, they're still a team in form.
Bayern also lost during the groups, losing by a goal to zero against Benfica, but the job was done at that point, so it's not as if Vincent Kompany's men took it easy without good reason. That defeat certainly didn't seem to have left any lasting effects last time out, with Bayern looking menacing in the final third against Fluminense.

For the Parisians, there will be no Nordi Mukiele, who continues to be sidelined with a muscle injury.
