Group B of the Club World Cup kicks off on Sunday with an absolutely gigantic clash between Champions League winners PSG and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. The action takes place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and whilst PSG will go into the game as fairly heavy favorites, both sides are jam packed with world class talent, making this one of the most eagerly anticipated fixtures of the entire group stage.
The other two sides in Group B are the Seattle Sounders and Botafogo, both of whom are more than capable of causing an upset. So whilst PSG and Atletico are favorites to progress, there are potential banana skins awaiting them in their final two group games. That makes Sunday's game hugely important, as whoever loses will almost certainly have to win their remaining games in order to progress to the last 16.

PSG - Atletico Madrid: Form Analysis
PSG's form over the last few months has been nothing short of sensational. They cruised to their fourth consecutive Ligue One title, whilst also producing a series of scintillating attacking displays to win their first ever Champions League title. Their performance in dismantling Inter Milan 5-0 in the final was one of the best ever by a side in a major final. If they can produce something similar over the next few weeks, Luis Enrique's side have every chance of adding another trophy to their collection.
Atletico proving hard to beat
At the midway point of the La Liga season, Atletico looked to be in prime position to secure the title. However, a slight drop off in their performances, combined with Barcelona's unstoppable form, saw them finish the campaign down in third. Nevertheless, Diego Simeone's side have been tough to beat throughout the season and have one of the most experienced defences in Europe.

PSG will be at full strength for the tournament, which means boss Luis Enrique could field the same eleven that started the Champions League final. That means exciting teenager Desire Doue will get the nod over Bradley Barcola on the right side of the PSG attack, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele completing their front three. Attacking full backs Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes will also be players to watch during the tournament. Their swashbuckling runs and rock-solid defending were pivotal to PSG's Champions League success.

Defensive solidity and experience have been the keys to success for Diego Simeone during his time as Atletico manager, and their Club World Cup squad looks to have both solidity and experience in spades. The likes of goalkeeper Jan Oblak, plus defenders José Giménez and César Azpilicueta have been plying their trade at the top level for a number of years, whilst attackers Antoine Griezmann, Alexander Sorloth and Julian Alvarez bring a huge amount of quality to the Atletico frontline.
