The second day of Ligue 1 kicks off this Friday at 2:45 p.m. EST with a match between Paris Saint-Germain and SCO Angers at the Parc des Princes. After four consecutive titles in the French championship, the Parisian club is defending its title. It remains the clear favorite to retain its title, even more so a few months after its victory in the Champions League. Despite a shortened summer preparation period, Luis Enrique's team got off to a good start. It hopes to continue its solid start in its first home game of the season.
SCO Angers will not have the same objectives in the coming months. After finishing 14th last season, the Angers club is once again likely to struggle to avoid relegation. Alexandre Dujeux's men did what they had to do to start with a victory against Paris FC (1-0). It will be a much more difficult task at the Parc des Princes. PSG is unlikely to give them any chance as it hopes to quickly move to the top of the table.
