In fact, FC Porto has conceded only one goal so far. The team intends to keep up momentum heading into a highly anticipated matchup on Matchday 1 of the Champions League group stage.

A whole new chapter began this summer at Manchester City. Pep Guardiola decided to step down as head coach of the Manchester club. He was replaced by Enzo Maresca! The former Chelsea coach has had a very difficult start. His team was soundly defeated by Arsenal in the Community Shield (3-0).
The Sky Blues have managed to step it up for the start of the Premier League season. They’ve just strung together wins against Bournemouth (2-1), Crystal Palace (1-4), and Coventry (1-0). Porto & Manchester City Squad Analysis
FC Porto will not have a full roster when it kicks off its Champions League campaign. In addition to Jan Bednarek’s suspension, Zaidu, Vasco Sousa, Oskar Pietuszewski, and Samu are injured. Victor Froholdt, who was substituted at the very end of the match on the final day of the Liga Portugal season, remains questionable. To pull off an upset this Tuesday night, the Portuguese club will need a stellar defensive performance. Diogo Costa will certainly have to deliver a standout performance in goal, as will Alberto Costa and Jakub Kiwior in front of him.
Against a high-caliber midfield, Pablo Rosario and Gabri Veiga will also need to step up in the midfield. On the offensive end, André Silva will look to make an impact against a Premier League powerhouse. The same goes for Santiago Gimenez, who signed with the Portuguese club at the end of the summer transfer window.
Manchester City bolstered its midfield over the summer with the signings of Elliot Anderson, Ayyoub Bouaddi, and Enzo Fernandez.
As for Manchester City, Jérémy Doku is unavailable for this trip to Portugal. In his debut with the Sky Blues last weekend, Iliman Ndiaye was forced to leave the game with an injury late in the match. It’s also uncertain whether he’ll play in this match. Still, Enzo Maresca has a high-quality roster at his disposal. He can count on one of the best goalkeepers in the world in Gianluigi Donnarumma. Ruben Dias or Marc Guéhi will be in front of him.
The Manchester City management has also significantly bolstered the midfield with the arrivals of Elliot Anderson, Ayyoub Bouaddi, and Enzo Fernandez! A little further up the field, Rayan Cherki is in great form early in the season. He already has 2 goals and 2 assists in the Premier League. The same goes for Erling Haaland, who has found the back of the net 3 times in the last 2 matchdays.
