After sweeping the Rockies in Colorado, they took the first two games of their series against the Pirates in Los Angeles, winning the first 5-4 and Saturday's contest 4-3. On Sunday, they will look to complete the sweep against Pittsburgh, and the two-time defending champion Dodgers are heavy favorites at -250 odds to extend their winning streak to six games.

The first game of the series was a thrilling contest. A two-run homer by Muncy with Ohtani on base gave the Dodgers an early lead. By the bottom of the eighth inning, they were leading 4-2 when O'Neil Cruz launched a towering home run to center field. However, the Pirates failed to capitalize on the opportunity to score with the phantom runner, and Edman's bat once again proved clutch, securing the victory for the Dodgers.

For the second game, more than 50,000 fans came to see Skubal pitch, and the Dodgers' new starter met expectations; he struck out 11 and reached the seventh inning, recovering from a rough 3-run first. Hernández, Thomas, and Tucker all recorded RBI hits, and Scott earned his 19th save.
