Los Angeles Dodgers vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Los Angeles Dodgers will try to break out of their funk today when they face the Pittsburgh Pirates in Game Two of a three-game home series. First Pitch is scheduled for 9:10 p.m. EST at Dodger Stadium in LA.

For the last week, the Dodgers have struggled. Of the five games they’ve played over the last seven days (including last Saturday), they’ve lost four of five. In last night’s loss to the Pirates, the offense was shut out for the second time this season (16-0 vs. Cubs on April 12).  To be fair, they faced one of the best young pitchers in the game in Paul Skenes (6 1/3 innings, five hits, no runs, nine strikeouts). LA got a decent start out of Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who gave up just one earned run, but also two unearned.

The Dodgers will turn to Roki Sasaki to end their three-game losing streak. Sasaki has yet to record his first MLB win, having gone 0-1 in his first five MLB starts (ERA 3.20, WHIP 1.47). He hasn’t thrown more than four strikeouts in a game (16 total). Pittsburgh will turn to Mitch Keller, who is 1-2 in five starts with a 4.18 ERA and a WHIP of  1.36.
