Detroit Tigers’ ace hurler Tarik Skubal will try to bounce back from a horrendous outing almost a week ago as he takes on Pittsburgh Pirates rookie Jared Jones in Game 1 of Wednesday’s doubleheader. Detroit carries a three-game win streak after sweeping the last three games of their previous series with the Toronto Blue Jays. The Tigers are in fourth place in the American League Central with a 26-27 card. Meanwhile, the Pirates came up short of sweeping the Atlanta Braves after dropping Game 3 of their series, 8-1. At 25-29, the Pirates remain in fourth place in the NL Central standings.
