Noel, a rookie for the Guardians, seems to be on fire for the remaining month as he has 4 HRs in the last 9 games and in his last 15 games he has 14 RBIs.
Boyd will be the one to start Saturday's game against the Pirates. After recovering from Tommy John surgery he made three starts in which he struck out 12 in 16.2 innings. Against the Pirates the veteran never had good numbers as he has a record of 0-2 with an 8.84 ERA but he has not faced them for more than 4 years.
Ortiz will be the Pirates' starting pitcher and will make his 10th start this year for the Pirates, after a series of outfielder losses. Ortiz looked good in his last start against the Reds, giving them no ER in 6 innings and striking out 5, though the Pirates ended up losing that game 3-4.
