Once again, this afternoon at Wrigley Field, the Pirates and Cubs will meet for Game 2 of the series in Chicago. The game ended 1-2 in favor of the Pirates, in a game that was practically even at the betting table. Pittsburgh's ace Skenes pitched five scoreless innings. His offense again failed to support him, and he left without a decision. However, the Pirates' relief pitcher showed up at the right time, holding the Cubs to just one run for five more innings, until Kiner-Falefa drove in the winning run for the Pirates in the top of the 10th inning, and Bednar recorded his 10th save of the season.

Although it may seem too late, this is the Pirates' best moment of the season, having won seven of their last ten games and, in the process, surprisingly sweeping the Phillies and then winning a series against the Marlins. Once again, it's been the bullpen that has been performing well for the Pirates in June.

Even so, the Cubs, with their 42-28 record, will start as heavy favorites at -230 to win Game 2 with Boyd pitching for Chicago.
