Divisional rivals meet again in the second of the series. A few days ago, the Cubs and Pirates met in Pittsburgh in what turned out to be a high-running series for both teams. It seems that this will again be a year where the Cubs will probably compete for a wild card. The Cubs found stability and consistency in their starting lineup for a few seasons now. Bellinger, Morel, Tauchman and Susuki have established a team that doesn't have too many home runs, but they do know how to get on base. For Friday's game they will face Paul Snakes for the Pirates and veteran Kyle Hendricks. The first one just debuted with the MLB against the Cubs recently, his line of strikeouts stood out, but the Cubs were able to give him 3 earned runs in 4 innings pitched. The veteran Hendricks has had a pretty bad start to the season, and at Wrigley Field he actually had his worst. It is a good time for the veteran to redeem himself since the only salvageable outing was the last one, precisely against the Pirates. They only gave him 1 earned run in five innings.
