In the win over Chicago, there was an incredible 6 total goals scored in the 1st period. 4 of those goals were scored by Vancouver with 2 of them coming from Danton Heinen. After a scoreless 2nd period, Vancouver popped in 2 more goals before Chicago scored a late one. Tonight, the Canucks take on the Pittsburgh Penguins, who have not been playing well over their most recent stretch of games. After beginning the season 3-2, the Penguins have lost 4 straight games and have allowed no less than 4 goals in all those losses. In their latest loss, the Penguins trailed 2-0 after the 1st and 4-0 after the 2nd period against the hosting Edmonton Oilers. That would be the end of the scoring as the final would be 4-0. Stuart Skinner of the Oilers posted his 1st shutout of the season while the Penguins suffered their 2nd shutout loss of the season. On the season, Pittsburgh has been scoring at a decent rate and rank 7th in the league in scoring but are dead last in goals allowed.
