The Pittsburgh Penguins head out for another battle for survival on Wednesday night in Game 6 against the Philadelphia Flyers at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Pittsburgh has staved off elimination twice in the series and will have the Flyers worried. Philadelphia could become only the fifth team in NHL history to blow a 3-0 series lead in the playoffs. Many of their players lack postseason experience, making it difficult for them to handle the situation.
Meanwhile, the Penguins are full of veterans who didn’t flinch despite finding themselves in a 3-0 hole before their last road game in Philadelphia. Sidney Crosby has led Pittsburgh’s comeback effort in the matchup, recording back-to-back multi-point games.
Goaltender Arturs Silovs has also played a key role in the last two games. He has limited the Flyers to two goals in both games since replacing Stuart Skinner in the Penguins’ crease. In Monday’s 3-2 win, Silovs became only the third netminder in franchise history to record each of his first two playoff wins with the team in elimination games.
Winning three games in a row is never easy in the NHL. But the momentum in the Battle of Pennsylvania has shifted, and we could ultimately witness a historic comeback in the series.

Our Philadelphia Flyers vs Pittsburgh Penguins Prediction
Philadelphia’s performance levels have significantly dropped in the last two games, while Pittsburgh seems to get better with each contest. Silovs’ play has been massively important for Dan Muse’s team, giving the entire squad confidence ahead of Game 6.
At the same time, the Flyers’ confidence must be shaking. They had the Penguins on the ropes after three games, but everything has started to fall apart. It will be difficult for them to turn the momentum around.
Our prediction for Philadelphia Flyers vs. Pittsburgh Penguins: Penguins to win.
