The Phoenix Mercury (8-16) visit the Minnesota Lynx (17-6) for a 2026 WNBA regular season matchup on Monday, July 13, at Target Center.
The Mercury and the Lynx have faced each other twice this season, with the latter winning the two games. Their first match in May ended in a close 88-84 win for Minnesota, but the second matchup was nowhere close. The Lynx dominated with a 111-77 victory, while shooting 63.8% from the field, including 58.8% from beyond the arc.
Minnesota is also coming off back-to-back wins, including a 90-85 victory over the New York Liberty. Kayla McBride and Olivia Miles led the way with 25 and 23 points, respectively.
The Lynx won without their main star Napheesa Collier, who is still recovering from an ankle injury. She has already been cleared to practice, but it remains to be seen if Collier will suit up on Monday.
As for the Mercury, they've lost three straight games, including an embarrassing 106-58 beatdown at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces. Phoenix scored only nine points in the opening period, as their offense sputtered throughout the game.
This Monday's game against the Lynx should be an uphill challenge for the Mercury.
