The Phoenix Mercury (12-22) visit the Los Angeles Sparks (12-19) for a 2026 WNBA regular season matchup on Tuesday, August 11, at Crypto.com Arena.
The Mercury and the Sparks have faced each other thrice, with the latter leading, 2-1. But, of course, things have changed a lot since they last played on July.
Just a week ago, the Sparks went into rebuilding mode and traded away their star guard Kelsey Plum to the Mercury. In return, the Sparks received Monique Akoa Mokani, a 2027 first-round draft pick, and a 2028 second-round pick.
On Tuesday, it could've been the first time that Plum will face the Sparks since being traded. But Plum is listed as out for Tuesday due to a leg injury.
