Philadelphia Union won the Supporters' Shield last season, so their slow start this season was truly surprising. However, especially since the restart after the World Cup break, Philadelphia has rebounded in style, going undefeated in their last eight matches, winning six of them, and currently holding the final play-in spot.
Nevertheless, a tough challenge awaits them at home in Subaru Park on Wednesday when they host Cincinnati, who currently lead them by four points in the Eastern Conference. The Orange and Blue have scored 49 goals this season and conceded 51. They are coming off a 4-0 away defeat at the hands of league leaders Nashville; however, Cincinnati has shown a knack for avoiding consecutive losses this season; they went unbeaten in two consecutive MLS matches in February and March.
