Washington Nationals and Philadelphia Phillies will begin the regular season with an exciting three-game series at Nationals Park on Thursday night. The Nats will want to continue their improvement in the NL East after failing to finish last for the first time since 2019. They were fourth with a 71-91 record, the same record for the second straight season. They'll be looking at several players to continue improving, especially Luis Garcia Jr., who had an impressive breakout season.

Philadelphia Phillies, on the other side, will be harboring World Series championship hopes this season after strengthening their ranks with Jesus Luzardo. They enjoyed excellent squad rotation last season, and Luzardo will definitely add more quality to their pitching staff. New faces like Max Kepler and Joe Ross will also provide fantastic squad depth to the Phillies. They only need to stay healthy to compete for their second consecutive NL East title and championship.
