Wednesday night the series between the Los Angeles Dodgers (66-48) and the Philadelphia Phillies (67-56). The Dodger took game one 5-3. They got to Aaron Nola and tagged him for 4 runs on 8 hits over 6 innings. Tyler Glasnow was hit for 2 runs in the 2nd inning but was solid after that. He finished with 9 strikeouts over 6 innings while walking no one. Ohtani went 2-3 with a homerun and a double. In Game two, Christopher Sanchez made it through 6 innings and held these Dodgers to just 1 run on 5 hits. Schwarber and Sosa each blasted solo homeruns in the 9th to put the game out of reach and give the Phillies the 6-2 win. Tonight, Tyler Phillips (3-1, 4.39) will be back on the mound after giving up 8 earned on 5 hits over just 1.2 innings pitched. After back-to-back games in which Phillips had gone 15 innings without allowing a run. On the other side, the Dodgers will go with Gavin Stone (9-5, 3.63). Stone had a rough outing as well in his last start. He gave up 5 runs on 8 hits in 4 innings against the Athletics. In a game that could be a preview of an NL final, winning this series is essential to each team.
