For the first time this season, the St. Louis Blues (6-8-3) will face the Philadelphia Flyers (8-5-3). St. Louis continued their trend of trading wins for losses this month after they defeated the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night 3-2. They are now back to .500 on the month with a 3-3 record. In all three wins this month, the Blues scored exactly 3 goals, while in 2 of their 3 losses this month have come when the scored less than 3. While scoring goals has been a bit of an issue for the Blues, the bigger issue has been the 64 total goals they have allowed. That number has them ranked 30th in the NHL. The Flyers, on the other hand, have been one of the top teams in goals allowed. They rank 2nd in the NHL, having allowed just 41 total goals on the year. That said, they have scored the same amount (41) which ranks them 30th in goals scored on the season. While the trend for the Blues has been one win for every one loss, the Flyers may be trending to do the same but in twos. They started off November with back-to-back losses to Toronto and Calgary. That was followed up by back-to-back wins over Montreal and Nashville. Most recently, they lost their last two games to Ottawa and Edmonton. Will both trends continue?
