LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers will take on a tough Eastern Conference opponent on the road tonight. They face the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
All three backup centers and Jabari Walker will be out again tonight. The lineup will be significantly smaller than this 76ers team anticipated to start the season. They are coming off their 1st loss of the season against the Detroit Pistons. They were playing without both Joel Embiid and VJ Edgecomb. Both should be back tonight and give the 76ers their typical starting 5. Tyrese Maxey continues to lead the team and finished with a game-high 29 points in the loss to Detroit. It will be interesting to see how this lineup plays after playing their last 2 games without at least 1 of their starters.
Indiana is thrilled to have the face of their franchise back this season in Tyrese Haliburton this year. However, he is questionable tonight with some hamstring stiffness. If he is unable to go, this will thrust some role players into a larger role. One of them may be former 76er Kelly Oubre Jr. He is averaging 7.5 points per game and just 2 boards and 2 assists. Those numbers will need to be higher in this game against his former team.
