Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers will start their 2025-26 regular season campaign with a matchup at the TD Garden on Wednesday night. The Celtics will look to reclaim their Eastern Conference crown after losing it to the Cavaliers last season. They bolstered their roster during the offseason with veteran deals for Josh Minott, Chris Boucher, and Luka Garza. Bouncher is the most reliable option and will play a key role in their championship quest this season.
Philadelphia 76ers, meanwhile, had a brutal campaign last season. They had high expectations following the signing of nine-time NBA All-Star forward Paul George as a free agent. However, things didn’t work out as they had wanted, with George and Joel Embiid suffering multiple injuries. Surprisingly, they didn’t make any significant changes during the offseason, with Nick Nurse getting another chance to redeem their fortunes. He’ll pray for an injury-free campaign.

Boston will want to start the season strongly on Wednesday night. Historically, they have enjoyed excellent results against the 76ers, winning in four of their last five meetings. They had a strong postseason run, winning three of their four matches, including a 138-107 win over the Cavaliers. However, both teams could miss some important players. Jayson Tatum will sit out for the Celtics with a long-term Achilles injury. Jaylen brown is also doubtful with a hamstring injury. As for the 76ers, Embiid should be fit to start, although Paul George could miss out with a knee injury. They should keep it close, although we expect Boston to start the season with a win.
