The Boston Celtics will go for their third straight win as they play host to their Atlantic Division rivals, the Philadelphia 76ers, at TD Garden on Thursday. The Celtics registered their second straight win after trouncing the Portland Trail Blazers, 128-118.
All-Stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brook took the backseat as Peyton Prichard took the spotlight in this Boston win, knocking down 10 triples en route to a career-high 43 points. Derrick White also had a massive outing as he finished with also a career-high 41 points with nine treys.
The Sixers lost their 11th game in 12 games after bowing to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 126-112, on Tuesday.
Quentin Grimes, who was shipped by the Mavs to the Sixers in exchange for Caleb Martin at the trade deadline, continued to get the most of his extended playing time on his new team as he dropped 30 points vs. the Wolves, just a few days after exploding for 44 against Golden State.
