Copa America defending champions Brazil will be out to secure their top spot in Group B when they face Paraguay on Tuesday night. Brazil have been dominant in their group assignments, sitting on top of the standings with 6 points. They started their campaign with a 2-0 win over Venezuela before dismantling Bolivia 6-0 on Tuesday last week. The defending champs will now look to secure their knockout qualification with a win against Paraguay before playing Colombia.
Paraguay, on the other hand, started the campaign impressively with a 4-0 win over Bolivia. However, they were humbled on Sunday by Colombia, who bagged a convincing 4-1 victory. They struggled to cope against the relentless Colombians, only seeing 32% of the ball and completing 214 passes against their opponents’ 456. This result leaves them in fourth spot, meaning they could be staring at a possible exit if they lose to Brazil and Colombia wins against Bolivia.
