In an NHL Atlantic Division tilt, the Boston Bruins will look to extend their winning streak to five games against the Ottawa Senators at TD Garden on Thursday night.
The Bruins have been a true Jekyll and Hyde team in the NHL this season. They already have two winning streaks of at least three games but also own a six-game losing skid.
Boston's current run of four consecutive wins started after a 7-2 road loss to the Senators. Marco Strum saw his team give up four power-play goals in the contest. Since then, the penalty kill has massively improved, catapulting Boston to an 8-7-0 record.
Ottawa has gone 6-5-2 so far this season, bouncing back from a horrible start. Travis Green's men picked up only two points from their first four outings. Ahead of Thursday's matchup, the Senators are on a 4-1-1 run.
Despite missing Brady Tkachuk, the Senators have performed well this season, but there are several areas where they can improve. Currently, the team has the worst penalty kill in the league at 62.5 percent, and only two teams have allowed more goals than Ottawa (3.92 per game).
