Orlando Pride will look to bounce back from their recent misfortunes when they host North Carolina Courage on Friday night. The defending champions have run out of steam lately, failing to win any of their last eight league games. Earlier this month, they suffered a heavy 5-2 defeat in Chicago before drawing 1-1 with Bay FC. This poor run has seen them drop to fifth position with 29 points. North Carolina Courage, on the other hand, is a team in transition. As it stands, they don’t have a permanent head coach after sacking Sean Nahas in August. His assistant, Natham Thackery, took over in an acting capacity. Impressively, he got his first win last Friday, defeating Angel City 2-1 at home. This result pushed them just two points behind the eighth-placed Racing Louisville.
