The 76ers are on a three-game losing streak at home and will host the Magic again with Orlando being the 3.5-point favorite at the betting sites after the Magic beat them 106-102 in the first of a two-game series on Wednesday.
Wagner scored 12 of 23 points and converted all 10 of his free throws for the Magic. Three Magic players came off the bench in double digits against a depleted 76ers team that had Embiid, Lowry, Drummond and Paul George all out due to injury or rest. It seems that for Friday's rematch George could return and perhaps Embiid can as well but he seems less likely. This would explain the jump from 6.5 points favorability for the Magic on Wednesday to 3.5 on Friday.
By losing the first against the Magic the 76ers failed to get their first three-game winning streak of the season. Earlier in the season there was talk that Paul George wouldn't play on back-to-back nights, however, the bad news is that without the 34-year-old veteran the 76ers are 2-7. So it's going to be another tough night for the 76ers who for multiple reasons haven't been able to consistently establish their star starting 5.
