The Orlando Magic will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard tonight when they face the Celtics at TD Garden in Boston. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, and fans can watch the action unfold on ESPN.
Orlando will have a rest advantage, having not played since Wednesday night; Boston played Toronto Thursday night. But that may be where the advantage ends. The Magic recently got Paolo Banchero back in the lineup. Still, the team is missing so many other players because of injuries that it is hard to see them keeping up with anyone, let alone the defending champions, the Boston Celtics.
Then again, Boston has not been playing much like a champion should of late. The loss to Toronto Thursday night gave them a .500 record at 6-6 over their last 12 games. Among those losses is a 108-104 defeat at the hands of the Magic in Orlando a few weeks ago.
No one has been sitting out with an injury. The roster is healthy. There is no excuse for losing to a nine-win Raptors team by 13 points in Toronto. It just isn’t playing well at the moment.
