The Orlando City Lions are seventh in the Eastern Conference, the last spot that offers a direct spot in the MLS Round of 16, with a still-present risk of being overtaken by the Chicago Fire or the Columbus Crew. If they are surpassed by either of these two teams, Orlando City would play in the play-in, but they have a good chance of avoiding it with a game in hand after Saturday's match against the Vancouver Whitecaps. On the final day of the match, Orlando City would visit Toronto FC in Canada.
