Winner of three in their last four games, the Oklahoma City Thunder will attempt to further tighten their grip on the No.1 seed in the West as they slug it out with the Atlanta Hawks on Friday at State Farm Arena. Less than 48 hours after losing a tough game against the Minnesota Timberwolves 131-128 in overtime, the OKC Thunder are back up with a 129-121 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tallied 27 points on 7 for 11 shooting, while Chet Holmgreen and Jalen Williams chipped in 22 each. Oklahoma (47-11) has a 9-game lead on their next trailer, the Memphis Grizzlies (38-20). The Hawks could not complete a rare back-to-back win over the Heat as they fell to Miami 131-109 in the second game in three days. Trae Young had 17 points and 8 assists but shot 4 for 12 from the field. Caris Levert chipped in 17 off the benc,h while Dyson Daniels finished with a team-high 18 markers.
