In-form Bayer Leverkusen will be aiming to make it six wins in a row, when they visit Greek side Crete in a Europa League Matchday Three clash on Thursday evening. 

The Germans were pushed all the way by Freiburg in their last Bundesliga game, but a late strike from Patrik Schick gave them a 2-1 victory that moved them up to fourth in the table. Carles Martínez Novell's side have also been victorious in their opening two Europa League games this season - a comfortable 2-0 home success over Celje and a thumping 0-4 win at Poznan. 

After a strong start to the season, Crete have hit the wall since the international break. The weekend 4-3 loss to Kalamata was their third in a row, a sequence that includes a 2-1 defeat at Rennes on Matchday Two. Getting back to winning ways on Thursday night will be a huge boost for Christos Kontis and his men as they look to reach the knockout stage of a European competition for the first time ever.
