Clement had the other hit, and in total the Blue Jays went 2-for-27 with 9 strikeouts.

The Athletics had 8 hits, and left 13 runners on base, but another HR by Rooker, his 28th of the year, was enough of a lead for them. Still, the Athletics still have a poor record of 20-39 this season when they are underdogs and on the road. In Saturday's win, Miller claimed his 17th save of the year, striking out 3 batters.

The Blue Jays' starter on Sunday will be Bassit, who has been allowing a lot of runs lately. He has a 5.86 ERA in his last 5 starts, but his last start was a good one where he earned his 9th win by pitching 7 innings and striking out 9 in a win against the Orioles.

The Athletics' offensive production has had a recent decline, although the pitching has responded. In none of the Athletics' last 5 games have more than 6 runs been produced between the two teams.
