The 4-game series between the Los Angeles Angels (17-33) and the Athletics (25-24) will be decided tonight. The Athletics lead the series 2-1, but a loss here will make it an even split.
Game one was a wild one. JT Ginn of the Athletics took a no-hit bid into the 9th inning with the Athletics leading 1-0. After a leadoff single by Adam Frazier, Zach Neto followed it up with a walk-off home run.
Game two was dominated by the Athletics. They tagged Reid Detmers for 8 runs. Nick Kurz led the way by going 3-5 with 5 RBIs. Rooker and Gelof added a couple of home runs to help lead the Athletics to the 14-6 victory.
Game three was more competitive and saw both teams scoring in multiple innings with the lead changing hands a few times. The Athletics trailed 5-4 going into the 9th inning. McNeil hit a solo shot to send the game into extra innings. There, Soderstrom was able to knock in what would be the game-winning run, as the Angels were unable to answer in the bottom of the 10th.
In this 4th and final game of the series, the Angels will have an advantage on the pitching mound. However, the Athletics have had much more success this season at the plate. We are leaning towards the offense in this final matchup.

We like him to bounce back in this one and use the run support he should get from the lineup that is 5th in the league in combined batting average.
