The Ice Hockey World Championship is already getting interesting as all the national teams in Group B have already played their first three games. With that in mind, one of the biggest surprises in this group is the fact that USA is currently not battling for the top spot after a 0-3 loss against Switzerland last Sunday, so next Wednesday they’re expected to face their game against Norway as a personal revenge.
In addition, it must be noted that Norway had such a terrible performance during their first three games of the Championship, so the main expectation for them will be directly battling with Denmark to avoid the relegation to the Division IA. In this matter, even though they had a very even game against Czech Republic (1-2), the reality is that their offensive line isn’t competitive enough.
Meanwhile, the US showed a very dominant performance during their first two games against Denmark and Hungary after scoring five or more goals per game without conceding any goals. Nonetheless, Switzerland brought them back to reality, as this squad cannot be considered as the main American squad as most of their best players are still competing in the NHL playoffs.
