Third place Aston Villa will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's disappointing 0-1 home loss to Everton, when they face Newcastle at St James' Park on Sunday afternoon.
After putting together an incredible 11 game winning run at the end of 2025, Villa have been slightly below their best over the last month. However, they still have an eight point cushion over the teams chasing them for a spot in next season's Champions League, so barring a dramatic drop off in form, Unai Emery's side look set for a return to Europe's top table.
Newcastle's drab 0-0 draw at Wolves last weekend ended a three game winning run, but still kept them in touch with the top four. As usual, the Toon's home form has been central to their success, and it has now been almost four months since they lost a Premier League fixture at St James' Park.
