Seattle Mariners vs New York Yankees Prediction & Picks - MLB

The rubber match in this early-season series between the Seattle Mariners (3-3) and the New York Yankees (4-1) will take place in Seattle late this afternoon. It was a pitcher’s duel in game one. Ryan Weathers went 4.1 innings for the Yankees and held the Mariners to just 1 earned run while striking out 7. However, he was outdone by Seattle’s Luis Castillo, who went 6 innings and allowed just 2 hits while striking out 7 of his own. Unfortunately for Castillo, he did not factor into the decision, but his Mariners did pick up the 2-1 victory. In game two, Max Fried was spectacular for the Yankees. He pitched 7 scoreless innings and led the Yankees to a 5-0 win.

In the third game, we are set for yet another great pitching matchup. The Yankees are sending righty Cam Schlittler to the mound. He is coming off a 5.1 inning outing against the Giants, where he struck out 8 and allowed just 1 hit while earning the win. He will be countered by George Kirby of the Mariners. Kirby also picked up a win in his season debut over the Guardians. Kirby went 6 innings and allowed just 1 run on 2 hits.

With these two strong arms on the mound for these squads in a game that will decide the series, every run will come at a premium.
