The Milwaukee Brewers (20-16) jumped on the New York Yankees (26-13) last night to start their 3-game weekend series. They roughed up Max Fried early and sent him off with a loss after allowing 5 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. Jacob Misiorowski was magnificent for the Brew Crew. He picked up the win after going 6 innings of scoreless work and allowed just 2 hits while striking out 11 Yankees.
Kyle Harrison will try to follow up on the work of Misiorowski tomorrow evening. He will be making his 6th start of the season. His 3-1 record does not do his work justice as he has held his opponents to just 7 total runs over his 29.2 innings of work. The crafty lefty is coming off a win over the Washington Nationals, where he fanned 5 while allowing just 1 run on 7 hits.
The Yankees are hoping Cam Schlittler will be the answer to bounce back in this series. Cam is 5-1 on the year with a 1.52 ERA. While he was good in his 14 games last season with New York, not many believed the start to the season that he is having was possible. He, like Harrison, is coming off a win where he allowed just 1 run on 7 hits against the Baltimore Orioles.
Harrison has been strong, but this Yankees lineup is not likely to be held in check two nights in a row.
