Gerrit Cole returns to the mound on Tuesday night, as the New York Yankees attempt to bounce back from their 10-1 Game One thrashing at the hands of the Los Angeles Angels.
That shock defeat for the Yankees has significantly reduced their chances of overhauling the Tampa Bay Rays at the top of the AL East standings. New York are now four games back from the Rays, and with games rapidly running out, it is looking increasingly likely that they will have to settle for a Wild Card spot.
